Tagged:-)

So Charish tagged me last week and it has taken me a while to think of quirks... sometimes i think i am just so weird that i don't even think i realize all my quirks, Ry thinks i have a billion, but i can't think of six so i'll just split them:-)

The Rules:
Link the Person who Tagged you.
Mention rules on your blog.
Tell about 6 quirks of yours.
Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.
Leave a comment to let them know.

1. I have to sleep with at least three pillows; one for my head, one to hold, and one for between my knees. I know that sounds weird, Ry isn't a huge fan of the 8 pillows on our bed. But i really can't sleep any other way.

2. I am the biggest list freak ever, i think its part of my obsessive compulsive personality (not disorder:-) )!! I can't function unless i have a list for everyday and i have to have everything checked off before i go to bed.

3. I'm obsessed with vacuuming!!! i don't know if it's my new vacuum or i just don't have anything better to do. But let me just tell you, my vacuum sucks up more than any other vacuum i have ever seen and it has one of those clear containers for the dirt so i can see how much i am sucking up, and i just vacuum and vacuum and dump my little container... i just can't stop.

**Ry's quirks.**

4. Every time Ry drinks or eats anything he licks his lips...now that may not sound that weird, but he looks like a dinosaur when he does it and i really love it! It is the cutest thing!!

5. Ryan hates when the collars of his shirts are stretched out, if i even touch his collar he thinks he can't wear the shirt because he feels like it's stretched out. He's such a silly boy sometimes.

6. We love King of Queens, i don't know if this counts as a quirk, but it's kind of our thing to watch at least one episode of King of Queens every night, we own all nine seasons:-). There are so many similarities with Doug and Kerri's life and ours that it's scary, we seriously love it!

Scout Mountain

Our cousin Katie and her hubby Bart came into town; they were camping up at Scout Mountain and so we met them up there. I made foil dinners for the first time in my life and they turned out delicious.

OuR kItTy fAMilY!!

We have so much fun with our two little kitties:-) Missy Rae has SO much energy and is always so fun to play with, Toby is a chill relaxed cat that acts more like a dog. Toby has claimed Ryan as his favorite and Missy Rae has claimed me as hers. We love them both and they are a great little family for now.

Food network?? I think not...

So i'll be honest, i'm a pretty good cook and quite creative, right? Well, we have lived in our little house for a little over a month now and still have yet to purchase a microwave... I was craving hot chocolate the other night and decided to be innovative. So since i didn't have a microwave to heat up our milk, i put it in my nice big Pyrex measuring cup and put it on medium heat on the stove. I'm thinking, i can totally cook this stove-top because we cook in Pyrex pans all the time, right? WRONG, very wrong, once i had poured our hot milk into our mugs i set the Pyrex in the sink and put scalding hot tap water in it, thinking this will help everything come to equilibrium. Well about five seconds later it literally exploded into a zillion pieces!!!

A MOMENT OF SILENCE...

I still remember the surreal morning of September 11, 2001... I was picking up my girlfriend, Megan. When she got in the car she said, "a plane just hit the twin towers", i was in complete shock; we listened to the radio in silence as we drove to school. That day at school it seemed as if no one could function, speak or even teach. All of the teachers had their televisions on and we all listened and watched as dreadful events continued to unfold. So many emotions were running through my body, i couldn't decide which emotion would take over first: the anger, the sadness, or the confusion.
My heart goes out to all of those who past on or lost their loved ones that day. I pray that nothing like this ever happens again... I love America, i love our freedom, i love and support all of the men and women who have fought and died for our freedoms we enjoy, i will fully support whatever it takes to keep the freedom we are so blessed with. GOD BLESS AMERICA and all of those who are truly American at heart!!!

Fall Time

WHY WE ARE OBSESSED WITH THE FAIR:
  • Fair smell of food and animals
  • Tiger ears
  • Walking by the nice warm heaters
  • Cool nights
  • Our traditional barn ice-cream---yummy!
  • Wandering through the buildings; especially the antiques, art, commercial and photography buildings.
  • Squeeky Cheese
  • Fried food (cheese curds, candy bars, fries, anything and everything that is considered food is fried at the fair), and yes we tried tons of it!
  • Did anyone notice how many times food was mentioned?? (don't look too close or you'll see the pounds slowly sneaking up on us, good thing it's only once a year, right?)

My dad pushing crippled Kaid around in his wheelchair...

Sunset at the fair with my love...

Sharing our cotton candy and enjoying the fair night life...
Loving the HUGE cows...
Ry loved this lamb and the lamby loved him too...
Monster horses!!!

Best Family Ever!

Since we all have such busy schedules it is SO hard to get together for family pictures, so two days before Marcus left we had our great photographer take our family pics. It was a super fast shoot, because of course, Kaid had football, Marcus was rushing them as much as possible, and my dad is very supportive of Kaid being to football everyday on time. We would have loved to shoot for longer, but we knew it wouldn't happen with McKaid and Marcus rushing us. Here are a few of them, we can't wait to see the rest, they are on the way.

BeARlaKe!!!!

A few days after we got back from our honeymoon we went to Bearlake for our last little family vacation before Marcus left. We stayed in the penthouse suite, had an amazing view and a great one last hoorah before Marky left. The first day we got there we went to Bloomington Lake; we swung on the rope swing, took video and pics and had some great family bonding time. The next day my mom and i "had" to pop over to Logan because she forgot some scrapbook stuff, on our way over we got stopped by a huge cattle drive, it was pretty interesting to see. Anyway, we ended up shopping at a few store while we were there while the boys were jetskiing all day.
We got back and Gma and Gpma Miller showed up and then an hour or so later Ry came (he had work and football) and we had our traditional Indian Tacos--delicious. We went to the beach the next day and stayed there all day:-) It was amazing, and we are really going to miss Marcus and all the spontaneity and comedy he brings to our family.
