Halloween week!!!

Our Halloween week was super busy!! Tuesday Dad had a spook alley that he did with his scouts for the primary kids, they love it and Coop was obsessed, he went through a zillion times and didn't want to leave when it was time to go. He kept getting me or Mae Mae and Boppa to take him through he would squeal and say "do it again!" so cute. My dad decorated the outside with the grim reaper and scary fencing and he made a headstone for each primary child with their name on it, how cute is that? The spook alley had three different rooms; the first one had lots of masks, and a "floating head" on a table with candy (my dad cut a hole through a table and his scouts would trade off being under it). The second room was mummies, yes my dad has homemade coffins in that room, they are pretty amazing, and the last room has strobe lights and a kid pretending to be dead and one hiding underneath. My Dad loves doing stuff like this, he literally lives for it, it was a good turn out and the kids had a blast.
We had to leave a little bit early to make it to Tyler's setting apart. Ry couldn't make it because he had open gym for his girls and Tony was sick so Ry couldn't leave. The setting was so nice and their stake president seems awesome, Coop was a little hellian the entire blessing tho, he was making sounds and babbling the entire time, except about the last fifteen seconds of the blessing he was silent and then yelled out "AMEN" when it was done. After that we went up for dinner at Ry's parents', Aunt Cindy and Stacia made delicious tacos and amaze ball salsa that I'm going to try to recreate, seriously I could have eaten the entire bowl by myself. We had fun hanging out together, and Ry came as soon as basketball was over. Caz packed Tyler's bags for him and we all just visited until late, I said "bye" to everyone since I knew I wouldn't be able to make the 4:00AM breakfast and took Coop home for bed, it was almost 11:00PM so it was super late for that little guy.
The next night, the night before Halloween, I made homemade potato soup and we painted pumpkins together. I'm thinking more paint ended up on Coop than the pumpkin, between Ry painting his belly and Coop following his lead he was a mess, he took a quick bath and went right to bed. We were all so exhausted that I'm pretty sure we were all asleep by 8:45PM, I had no complaints though, we definitely all needed it.

HALLOWEEN!
I worked out really quick before we had Kindermusik and then I changed Coop into his dinosaur costume for music. He and Kolt had a blast together in their costumes, they played around the whole time and I think were the best they have ever been for music, maybe it was the costumes?
I had an appointment so my Dad came up and hung out at the house while Coop napped and then Ween came up and helped me get Coop ready for Trunk or Treat at Ry's parents ward, we were going to go over to my ward's party and Trunk or Treat, but I wasn't feeling up to it, so we just had a ball at Ry's parents' ward trunk or treat with our family and friends and then just went out to my parents. It's always so fun to see how many trick or treaters they get! We watched Hocus Pocus or "pocus pocus" as Coop calls it, ate popcorn and dove dark and visited with the people that came that we knew. Grandma came out after she got done at the temple and hung out with us for a while, which was nice, we made Coop put his costume back on so she could see his cuteness. Ry has been super busy with work and is starting girls basketball again so we didn't really get to see him which was sad. Coop had a great Halloween and was so exhausted he was becoming silly (we call it sleepy drunk), so my mom followed me home and helped me get him to bed.

ZooBoo and Halloween Party

Saturday was Zoo Boo, and my original plan of dressing up like Wreck it Ralph characters kind of didn't happen because of life's craziness so we borrowed my old dinosaur costume that my Mom sewed for me when I was about Coopy's size. It was perfect because he has been super into dinosaurs lately and told everyone he was a "sthegastharus" (a little lispy stegosaurus) and seriously so darling!! We went out to my parents to get the costume before we went to the zoo and he was SO excited, especially about the feet and tail, he would stomp around and "rawr" and would say "look ah my dine-saur tail" he wasn't too happy about the green face paint but he got over it really quick.
The weather was gorgeous; the zoo had different booths set up, pumpkin bowling, lots of little crafts, and stops along the way where they would ask you a question for a piece of candy, these were really the only ones Coop was interested in. He loved the little spook alley they had set up around the tree house, the lady said before we went in that "it was a little scary and the fun crafts were up the stairs" Coop walked right passed the stairs and through the spook alley. When we were done he said "do it again" and we had to walk through no less than five times, he would hear the scary sounds they had playing and gasp and say "wha wuz that?!" we practically had to drag him to the next area. He loved looking at all the animals and frequently would say "hold you" because his costume was pretty heavy and he was getting tired quickly. We ended at the new bear exhibit and then headed back to the truck so we could get him home for a good nap. During his nap time Ry and I got to hang out, a very rare thing for a Saturday, it was really nice.
That night we went to my parents' friends' Halloween party and had a blast. Ry was a bum and wouldn't dress up as Edgar Allan Poe to match my raven costume, so we just dug through my parents costume box and got a werewolf costume for him. Coop fell asleep on the way out there and stayed asleep while I helped my mom do her makeup and hair for the party. We had yummy food, which I wish I would have taken a picture of, peanut butter monster fingers, bloody glass filled cupcakes, gauc-ghoul-mole and pumpkin chips (my contribution), weenies, meatballs, candy corn pudding cups and lots more. We played some fun games and Ry ended up leaving around 10:00PM to get Coop to bed and meet his brothers and cousin at our house for a round of Call of Duty before Tyler got set apart for his mission.
The next day we went to Tyler's farewell, he did a great job and is excited to head to the Mexico MTC and then to serve in Fortworth, Texas. I had to go do my primary music time and then went back to Ry's parents afterward and hung out with his family for a while. It was fun to see all of his family that came up from Arizona, we rarely get to see them and they are a blast to be with!
Checking out Mae Mae and Boppa's "big skelton" and other porch decorations and thoroughly enjoying being dressed as a stegosaurus.

Seriously, I could die of this cuteness!

My little buddy all ready for Zoo Boo!

Cheeks!

Looking at the black bears that were seriously smaller than Nana.

"Cruncheeeee leaves!!!"

Getting tired and needed Daddy to carry him.

Found some dirt to dig in, no surprise there.

Checking out the new grizzly bear exhibit, he was napping in the water so Coop got a pretty good view.

He was getting tired, as you can see from his little face, "hold you Daddy" so he did the rest of the way out.

My sweet little stegosaurus!

At the Halloween party, he wasn't too sure about Ry's werewolf costume, but he wasn't really scared of it, what have we done? He's so desensitized from all the spooky Halloween stuff, maybe it will be good in the long run, he won't be scared or have nightmares.

The mad hatter and queen of hearts, (Steve and Karen) so awesome!!

Spider woman and her pet spider, (Mom and Dad), clever.

My werewolf husband and my raven costume.

Gladiators, (Paige and Nathan) very cute!
And I don't know how I didn't get a picture of Kendra and Kyler, and then Marilyn and her husband didn't dress up, I told them were not worthy of a picture, I know so mean.
