I got Coop a little baby pool and Nana a big plastic pool since they both LOVE the water. Coop could literally spend hours in the water, doesn't matter bath or pool, he loves it. Nana is always looking for water, we have a big plastic pool for her and when the sprinklers are on she runs through them. Nana has already developed her "nanny dog" personality, she follows Cooper everywhere and always has an eye on him, it's pretty sweet.
As you can see Nana sitting right next to the pool...
Coop is quite independent as is into everything, he will pull all of his books of his bookshelf and then sit and look through them forever. He does the same with the DVD's which makes me crazy, I feel like all I do all day is clean up his messes, but I know he's having fun with and I guess that's what is important.
He loves to play with Dad's hats and LOVES to stand in his crib, we had to lower it one notch from the lowest setting. We had to start sleep training him because now that he has started to stand in his crib he thinks it's playtime not naptime or bed time so falling asleep has become a challenge. It only took one night of letting him cry which took a little over an hour and was torture for us. I got in the bath with a book so I wouldn't be tempted to go in and get him. Ry was watching basketball and came in at least five times to see if I thought he should go get him. Although that first night was rough it has been back to heaven ever since.
Getting him to hold still for any picture these days is pretty much out of the question. I cannot believe he's eleven months old!! Time really has flown faster than I ever imagined it would have and I have loved every single second of being a Mom. Coop is almost walking, he is cutting four more teeth, his other incisors and his canines on either side of his front top incisors. I made some popsicles for him thinking that would help but he can't quite figure out if he likes it or not, I guess we'll keep trying.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2012
As with almost every single Memorial Weekend it was rainy almost the entire weekend so we spent most of the time in the trailer which was a bit of a bummer, but we still had fun. It was Cooper's first camping trip and he did pretty well, he slept with Ry and I and was perfect.
Coopy's first time to Mesa Falls, he was pretty interested in it.
We went to Mesa Falls when there was a small break in the rain and then headed over to West Yellowstone where we wandered the shops. Ry got himself a candy bar while I was with my mom and Mareesa and said "Cooper picked out a twix bar for himself" and I said "did hw? well, I hope he's just carrying it for you and not eating it" Ry continued to say that my Dad was carrying Coop under a blanket and it was still in the wrapper so not to worry. A few minutes later I hear my Dad say, he's got something, and I uncovered him and he had chewed a hole in the wrapper, had chocolate all over his face and was drooling like crazy. So this is the story of his first taste of chocolate, I had to laugh despite how grumpy I was that Ry let him "pick out a candy for himself".
Coop loves his Auntie Mareesa; getting ready for bed and reading our bed time stories.
The last day of our weekend was ironically nice, of course. We went down to the river and fished for a while, my first cast I got some bites and then a few casts after that I got a bad snag and decided to let Ry take care of my pole while I read and hung out with Coop.
My sweet nugget grabbing for the camera...
Ry and my Dad fishing...
The only day it didn't rain, the girls and Coop.
Coop having a piggy shoulder ride with Gammie, he loves it.
We stopped at my Grandma's grave, this his first time there.
Four generation picture.
We had a great weekend and are hoping that next time we go up to Warm River it will actually be warm.

I love that little face! What a funny story about the Twix. Sometimes dads sure are clueless! I miss you. When are you going to come to OR again? You know, you can't beat the summers here!!
Look how cute you are with your little baby carrier! I love the picture of your dad and Ryan fishing, soon coop will be up there with the men!
