October Activities and Muggle Magic

October was an especially busy month for us, it seemed the days flew by and were filled to the max with things.
My grandma Miller was admitted to the hospital the day before his birthday; he was acting very confused and just wasn't himself. After a plethera of tests and scans the doctors was inconclusive and ended sending him home the day after is birthday, the 16th. We went to visit him for his birthday and we could all tell he was ready to leave. Here is Coop sitting in a hospital chair, he thinks he's such a big kid!

Mareesa had her last volleyball tournament and last game of her highschool career. Here are the boys heading there, they are so dang cute together I just love it. Coop loves when Ry is home from work and can wrestle and run around with him.

Watching some volleyball together. The challenge as of late is trying to get him to sit and watch, he just wants to run around the bleachers or climb the bleacher stairs. At least I got a few moments that he would snuggle up with me and watch Weenie play.

The last day of her volleyball game was the day of Zoo Boo, which we ended up missing since her games lasted all day. Coop was tuckered out by the end anyway and my little Spidey fell asleep for the last of her game. They lost the game that would have let them go to state and ended up with third place in districts, Mareesa was pretty bummed about it. Her team could've played a lot better and they did have a chance of making it to state, which was disheartening to watch.

We bought some pumpkins from a little local man selling them from the back of his truck, he had a bunch of super cute ones. I LOVE pumpkins! I set up a little photo opp in our backyard since our family pics fell through since Ry's work schedule changed.

My little explorer finding all sorts of little things to play with...

Nana and Ry, Nana weighs more than me now and looks like a small black bear, did I mention she's only eight months old?

Happy October, such a gorgeous fall we've had.

We didn't carve pumpkins this year because of the continually decreasing attention span of our little nugget and we wanted to avoid the mess we knew would happen with him.

As you can see he got as much paint on himself as he did the pumpkin.

Our finished pumpkins, mine is the Frankestein, Coop's is the pinkish one, and Ry's is the glow in the dark arrow... Ry wanted glow in the dark paint, I sometimes think he is my 5 year old child.

The boys playing and sharing snacks after book babies.

ISU does a Harry Potter Muggle Magic where they have little science experiments and fun HP related activities for the kids. Of course I had to dress Cooper up like Harry and I dressed up as Professor Mcgonagall and we had so much fun.

We met our friends the Hales there and did some experiments with Hippogriff slobber (soap, food coloring, dry ice and water) they let them play with some Snape Slime (water and cornstarch) and had a bunch of other stations for them. Coop only made through a few before he was ready to go home for a nap.

I'm so glad we went, I hope this is a little tradition that we can keep.

My parents did their last tailgate, which is really big, because they have done it for NINE years!!! My Dad loves doing it but it just takes up so much of their time that they decided it was time to give it up. We went to the tailgate for some food and then over to the park to go down the slide about a hundred times.
