We did our traditional Super Bowl celebration out at my parents. We only had a minor glitch (that almost turned major, at least for Ry). We have started a tradition of getting jerseys for the team we want to win, so once we find out the two teams that are playing we go out and get our jerseys. Ry ordered Cooper's jersey and we thought we would look locally for our jerseys, which proved to be an epic failure. This year I thought I would try and save us some money so I found a website and sent it to Ry, he ordered our jerseys, and we never got a tracking number, needless to say our jerseys didn't show up until this past week. Ry went snowmobiling the Saturday before Super Bowl with my Uncle Ronald and stopped in Idaho Falls on his way back, his knee was killing him so he sent his little brother, Tyler, in to see what their Fanzz store had. He ended up buying a sweatshirt for Ry and a child's medium jersey for me, since that's what he thought I had last year. I could tell Ry was REALLY bummed that I had screwed up our tradition by being cheap, I told him he could be in charge in years to come. Anyway, I tried on the jersey he got, and looked at my last years jersey, which is a youth, not a child, so that didn't work and I could tell Ry wasn't thrilled about a sweatshirt. I called a zillion stores in Idaho and Utah (I was willing to drive where ever to get him his jersey,) the closest one I could find that has the jersey he wanted, was in Reno Nevada, and Ry didn't want me driving that far, I felt SO bad. Sunday morning rolled around and Ry said he was going to Idaho Falls to find us some jerseys, nothing like cutting to the last second. I went to church with Coop, and taught our Sunday school class, all the while getting text updates on every store Ry was going to and how none of them had jerseys. He ended up finding a sports store that was a few stores down from Fanzz in the mall that miraculously had two left, so he bought them (not the number he wanted, but he settled). So our tradition wasn't broken, and I am officially going to let Ryan handle all of the upcoming Super Bowl jersey purchasing!
We had SO much food, by the end of the game you couldn't even tell anyone had touched anything. We had wings, chips and dips, spinach artichoke dip, veggies, piggies in a blanket, helmet and football jigglers, tuxedo cake, and TONS more. And may I say, that Coop was SO cute in his little jersey!?!!!
