*HONEYMOONERS*

Ry (of course being a little five year old) couldn't resist playing pin ball, shooting games, and any other video game that the Boise airport provided. We were so sleepy and couldn't wait for our flight to leave.

We had lots of fun on our flights down to Mexico... We drove from Poky to Boise at about 3AM (that was a rough drive), and then hung out in the airport there for an hour or so, then we flew to LA where we had a four hour layover (ugh!), but we found plenty of things to fill up the time; i was reading Breaking Dawn and Ry bought a crossword that kept us entertained for quite a while.
Yes... this is our tiny car that we raged the streets of Mexico in...so scary!

Once we got unpacked and settled into our condo Ry took us down to a little taco stand on the street, yes i know, i was nervous too. The food was delicious, the people were incredibly nice and best of all i didn't get sick. I never drink soda but Ry made me promise that i would try the Coke down there. I tried it and it was surprisingly delightful:-) it really does taste different than the Coke up here.
This is one of the many crabs that came out at night, every night that we would come back to our resort they were all over the road.

Our first day at the beach... we had the whole beach to ourselves. Of course the little mexican merchants that walk the beach spotted us gringos and sucked us into getting fake tattoos and silver rings. While we were there a pelican was limping along with a broken wing:-( It was so sad i wanted to fix him, but he just kept hobbling away.

The next day we went and visited some members from Ry's mission. Sister Natalia and her two girls Maritza and Paula and her son Jared (he was a little beast). We went up into the mountains of Concordia and saw them slaughter a pig (it's part of their livelihood) and then we took the girls down to the city. While we were down there we went to a cathedral built in 1534, it was beautiful!! We were looking for things called respados, they were closed so we settled on some yummy popsicles. (All of our pictures and video of that day our on our video camera, so as soon as i figure out how to load that on here i will) By the end of our trip those two girls were attached to me no matter where i went.

We literally had the resort to ourselves... so when we went to dinner at the clubhouse that night we had every person inside waiting on us. The food was amazing and the sunset was gorgeous!

After dinner Ry showed me these devil ants that bite so hard that if you have them bite a stick and pull it their heads will pop off!! I wouldn't let Ry try, but he know from experience, of course, does that surprise anyone?
The beautiful golf course at night.

Another day at the private beach... We brought our little friends, and fit SEVEN people in that tiny car (see above pic) it was insane. We also ate something called sabice that the sister made, it was delicious; but i don't think i would have eaten it knowing what it was, good thing Ry told me after, its sliced up veggies with RAW shrimp! Luckily i didn't get too sick...

This day we went to the city and went to little shops and then to the aquarium. I LOVED the aquarium, we saw sharks, lots of fish, sea horses, tons of birds, fossils, had anatomy lessons in Spanish, and i almost got my hand eaten by that mean crocodile!! I was taking pictures through the fence (probably not the best idea,) of the cute turtles and didn't realize that the crocodiles shared cages with the turtles...oopsy.

We had dinner at a cute restaurant on a veranda by the beach. The carne asada was amazing, company perfect (obviously), and the sunset that night was perfect. The three amigos playing music tried to get Ry to pay them $15 to play a song, and then at the end of dinner they brought us "dessert drinks" on the house aka alcohol, bleh; so we tried to sneakily dump it onto the beach. It was an interesting night...

Our relaxing day by the pool which was basically on the beach, we both got lots of use out of my cute cowboy hat we got in the city.

Ry loving his new video camera!
