FAMILY PICS!!!!

OCTOBER 2007

Ry came up for a quick two day trip to come to Ashton and Jade's murder mystery dinner. I had a halloween cake waiting for him (he'll do anything for cake).:-) We made cornbread for the dinner, and of course Ry thought it would be a great idea to get into a little food fight before our party! We had a blast, and i am soooo glad that he could come up!

Randi and Chad had a Halloween party. The Girls Next Door had so much fun! We had scary treats, watched Hocus Pocus, and played a wild game of Golblin. Anyone who showed up without a costume (Dara) got turned into a ghosty!

I had to go home for our annual HALLOWEEN party!! Eyeball soup, spider spaghetti, mummy dogs, Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and of course, a crazy game of Goblin!!!!

Randi and I worked at a haunted house at This is the Place; we were placed in the Brigham Young home, they say that is it REALLY
haunted by one of Brigham Young's wifes. We had so much fun dressing up three of four days a week for our favorite holiday. We only made a few people pee their pants and lots of little kids (and some older kids) cry.

SEPTEMBER 2007

I surprised Ry with tickets to the Pink Floyd light show at the Planetarium in Salt Lake for his birthday present. We ate sushi at Happy Sumo and then headed up to Salt Lake for our fun night. We had to wait an hour or two before the show started, but it was SO FUN, we wandered around the planetarium playing with all of the different displays and then we made a stop at the gift shop and played around with all of the random things they have. Ry's favorite were the alien sunglasses and the blacklight powder balls. The show was amazing and well worth the wait!!!

Ry came up the weekend after her 22nd birthday and i had a little party for him. We played games with our good friends, Randi, Chad, Ashton and Jade (Kristen and Cam wouldn't play). We had yummy cake, Ry's favorite treat, i wonder what he wished for...

FALL 2007

Fall was hard for us, we went from spending every single day together all summer long to being three states away and only seeing each other once or twice a month. Ry was going to a golf school in Arizona and i was finishing my last fall semester at good old BYU. It worked out, we both focused on school, Ry got a job at a golf course and I started teaching dance at Sunset Dance studio. We were lucky that Ry could fly for cheap, because he made a few trips to see me.

MORE JETTING!!!

We went out to American Falls jetting all day long!! Marcus doesn't really understand that you don't squirt go-gurt on your face. Mareesa loved jetting, she was almost as good as i was! I only had one hard core crash this day, followed my some water burn and a bad headache. Of course Ry still brings this up, he thinks he's really funny!

JULY 31ST

July 31st was the day Ry asked me to marry him!!!!!!!!!! I don't think either of us were expecting it to come that soon. Ry and i just were on a drive, we got some DQ and then went up Buckskin and we were watching a beautiful sunset. Earlier that day we had bought a book from Deseret Book (kind of as a joke, or so i thought,) about what couples need to prepare for before they get married. As we went through it we were checking things off and just having a good time. We took lots of pictures and while Ry was hugging me he asked me "Meg, will you marry me?"...Right when he said that my phone rang, it was Mareesa, so i told Ry to hold on, and talked to her for a minute (and i was secretly gathering my thoughts and trying to get over the shock of the question Ry just popped). So when i got off the phone i just casually asked Ry "what did you just say" haha, i know it was horrible. So then he asked again and i said YES!!! From there we told his parents, my parents, and a few of our close friends. That next week we looked and looked for rings and found the perfect one, and then i found another perfect one, anyway, we decided on the second 'perfect one'... it was going to take until October or November to get in and so i just thought that we would probably get engaged around Christmas time. So we continued our fun summer, I went to my bestfriend's wedding (Randi) in California and Ry picked me up from the airport, he had been hinting about a present he got for me. I thought it was a necklace or earrings or a bracelet...i never would have dreamed it was my ring. Anyway , after i got home from California, Ry dropped me off at my house and i unpacked and hung out with the fam for a while and Ry said he would come back and take me on a walk. He came and picked me up and we went to Ross Park, it was a really windy night, and we were just wandering around the park talking and laughing. Ry said "Meg, i love you" and of course i said it back and then Ry said "no, Meg i REALLY love you, and this is why....." he got down on one knee, said some more cute things and the rest is history. I said yes and was surprised when out popped that ring that wasn't supposed to be done for months!!!

FOURTH OF JULY!!!!

We had such a fun 4th of July!! I worked at the JHCC all day and got burned from being out on the cart & Ry worked hard all day for Coke. We were so happy when we made some delicious homemade ice-cream and finally got to cool down a bit. We went to Wood's for our annual 4th of July BBQ with the whole family ; and of course, lots of illegal fireworks, (courtesy of Archie), followed by THE BIGGEST SHOW IN IDAHO!!!

































It wouldn't be a family gathering without us playing with little Lizzy and Thomas.
