The past month or so has been super busy for us but not super eventful, so this post is super random, and probably not that interesting to the majority of you. But i really had the itch to blog

BASKETBALL
The past month was full of watching lots of Kaid's basketball games, this is the district championship game. They made it to state and lost by one point in over time in the overall championship game.

The team was ecstatic!!

I threw my girlfriend, Mindy, her bridal shower... it turned out great!

MISSY RAE

Missy Rae had her last set of shots a couple weeks ago. She refused to go in her kitty bag, so i let her ride in the car with me, she did so good and got and orange star!!

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENTS

Since Ry and I have had a couple weekends off, we have made a couple quick trips to Utah to watch Mareesa play volleyball. She is an awesome player and she is so fun to watch.

Ryan got so bored that he volunteered to go shopping with me, this is a very rare occurrence in his life, he despises shopping. He lasted about 20 minutes while my mom and i scoured the racks and Nordstrom Rack.
Last weekend we went down for another tournament (i spaced taking pics,) and we took a little shopping venture and stumbled upon a jewelry store having an 80% sale!! They are trying to make room for all of their Spring line, i was just browsing around not thinking i would find anything or be able to talk Ry into letting me get anything if i did. I asked the sales woman if she had in small pave diamond band, and she did!!! It was beautiful, fit perfect, and....80% off, how could i resist?! Ry really liked it too, and said it could be a almost one year anniversary gift, i was so happy and i absolutely love it! Thanks RY!!!

MR. PHS

Kaid participated in the first annual Mr. PHS, it is basically a comedy pageant. He definitely did the best out of the thirteen contestants.

Telling why he should be Mr. PHS, this was their "question" for this part of the pageant.

Here is the story behind his talent, so he had a million different ideas that were all really great. He asked Mareesa if she had any yellow dresses in her closet, found one and... dressed up like a beast. He finally decided what his talent would be; he waltzed around to the song from Beauty and the Beast 'Tale as old as Time' with a raggity-ann doll dressed in a yellow dress. It was so hilarious, i died laughing and he came up with it all on his own!! Way to go Kaid!

They had a fitness portion where McKaid stuck a nasty mexi-stache and dressed up in under armor ad made funny faces the entire time, again laughing so hard my abs hurt.And the winner of Mr. PHS, McKaid Sheppard!!! He also won first in fitness (surprise surprise,) and second in casual wear, he dressed up as spider man, i didn't get my camera out fast enough to get a pic of it. Congrats Kaid, you are hilarious!

SWEET SURPRISE

Flowers aren't really Ryan's thing, he usually just says they are a waste of money and die after a few days (which i totally understand). Last week i was working three twelves in a row, i was exhausted and super sad that i couldn't spend the weekend with Ry. Saturday afternoon a little florist man showed up with this beautiful arrangement, my favorite color, favorite flowers, and it smelled amazing!!! Needless to say i made it through with a smile on my face and a skip in my step. Thanks babe, you're the best!

NEW CAR

Ry sold his car to one of his workers so we have been in the market for a new car for the past month or so. We test drove a bunch of cars and dealt with a few really annoying salesmen, and finally found a car that we both really like. It is a Chrysler 300, charcoal (my fave colour), leather interior, and most importantly it is SOO comfortable.

Bridals...ten months later.

I know it has been eight months since we have been married and even longer since i got my bridals, but i just got them back. Here are a few, it takes forever for them to load, so until i figure out how to make them shrink this is probably all i will put up.

A very bad addiction!!!

I feel so guilty, i bought a tub of these delicious, heavenly, two-hundred and ten calorie treats at Costco earlier this week, and i have almost single handedly finished them off. When i bought these i thought they would last a while and that i would be able to have complete control over myself, but i think they secretly add an addictive ingredient that i cannot resist. But it really is the perfect concoction of sweet and salty, crunchy and chewy and just complete amazingness!! I know it is going to take weeks and weeks, maybe months of hard working out to burn these little devils off and i have officially vowed to never purchase them again. But if you haven't tried them... they really are a little slice of heaven and warning---SOOO addictive!

"In God We Trust..."

I am thoroughly disgusted and dismayed that the new dollar coin does not include the phrase "in God we trust" anywhere on it. I can just imagine our four-fathers are probably turning over in their grave just as sick as can be. Our country, freedom, constitution, and just about everything that molded this beautiful country was done by God fearing people. So i am going to do all i can to reject these coins and the underlying message they carry... if i am given change and this happens to be with the change i will ask for a dollar bill, this may sound silly but i believe every little bit will count.

Viva Las Vegas!!!

Ry and i decided we needed a mini vacation just to get away, so we thought Vegas would be a fun option. We invited our good friend, Greg, and i attempted to find one of my girlfriends to go, but obviously did not succeed. I worked a twelve hour day on Friday and we didn't leave until ten at night, which meant i slept the entire way, good thing Greg was there to keep Ry awake, thanks Greg! I am the worst person to road trip with because i always fall asleep. On our way down we stopped at the point of the mountain to say hi to one of my bestfriends, Steph, it was great to see her, and i was so tempted to just stop there and stay there for the weekend, but we drove on and on and on into the night. We arrived in Mesquite early in the morning and decided to try our luck gambling, i played black jack with forty dollars that Ry gave me, and guess what?! I got up $42.50, wha whooo!!! I was the only one to come up that stop and decided i would just keep my money for shopping.

We finally got to Vegas around nine in the morning on Saturday, but we couldn't check into our hotel until noon, so we parked our car at our hotel and wandered the strip for a few hours. I looked dead, since i slept the whole way down (that would be why there are no pics of me this day). As i was checking in i asked the girl working about all the perks that were online when we booked our room, she acted totally bugged that i even said anything, but she knew exactly what i was talking about. After her rolling eyes and much huffing and puffing we got two free tickets to the show ICE, it's a Russian skating troupe, and two free breakfast vouchers, along with a $250 gas card. I highly recommend checking any perks if your are planning on going down there, every hotel has something to offer!!

ICE was such an amazing show full of acrobatics, some of the strongest guys i have ever seen, awesome skating, and you know that skating move that the guy swings the girl around by her feet and her head comes centimeters from the ice?? They totally did that...and TONS more!!!

Sunday was definitely my favorite day,i got an hour massage at our hotel while the boys played craps, and then my cousin Nikki that lives in Vegas came to hang out with us. We had lunch with the boys at this place (i forget the name,) very similar to Tucanos, it was delish!!! After that the boys went to wander back to the hotel and Nikki and i shopped and shopped, it was SO fun!!! Once we were satisfied with all of our purchases we went back to the hotel to get the boys and play on the strip for the night.

As we were waiting for the pirate show to start there were these little Asian ladies that were quite pushy, so when they took a pic Nikki and i popped our cute faces into the back of their picture not thinking they would look at it as soon as they were done, our bad, they were talking angry Asian and gave us little evil looks---bah ha but it was so worth it. And the "TI" show, is not a pirate show at all, we had heard it had changed, but were still expecting pirate fights and yo ho yo ho type pirates.... to our surprise a bunch of girls in underwear and big belts came out parading around a ship, yelling at the boys on the other ship a bunch of sexual things, and on top of that they were awful dancers!! I couldn't believe all the kids that were watching, it is not even close to a kid show, i would recommend the Mirage show over this times a million.

Happy Love Day

Valentines isn't really a favorite holiday for either of us but we actually had a really great day. I made orange rolls for breakfast, Ry had to go to work for a while so i just relaxed at home and got ready for the rest of the day. Ry brought home a long stemmed rose, a cute photo album, and Madagascar2, it was sooo funny, i highly recommend it!! After we watched our movie we went furniture shopping, i found lots of things that i wanted:-) but no, we didn't buy anything... Ry had to go to work again so i went home and started dinner, we had yummy chicken, tortellini and tuxedo cake for dessert followed by cuddling while watching Fools Gold, also a pretty good flick.

So hilarious!!!

Happenings Lately

Grandma Sheppard's funeral, it was a beautiful, peaceful, snowy day. Her funeral was in Pocatello in the morning, the service was amazing, then we pummeled through the snow to Ashton where she was buried. After the burial we drove to Twin Falls for Kaid's game, they won and Kaid played great! The next day Ry and I spoke in church, which went surprisingly well, and i pray that it will be a very long time until we have to speak again.
